ABOUT US

Working for the betterment of Lowertown through community and commerce

We are a recently designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to strengthening Lowertown through care, community, and commerce. As we grow, the Lowertown Business Owners Alliance (LTBOA) aims to bring together residents, businesses, and fellow nonprofits to foster local economic vitality, cultural engagement, and stronger neighborhood connections. Our plans include hosting community events, collaborating with other charitable organizations, and organizing fundraisers to support causes throughout Saint Paul—building a more connected and inclusive future for all.

GUIDING

PRINCIPLES

  • Unity: we work together to raise each other up. “We all do better when we all do better” – Paul Wellstone.
  • Collaboration: Downtown residents and business owners share ideas to help strengthen Lowertown and nearby neighborhoods.
  • Respect: we treat each other with respect regardless of personal opinions.

  • We, as a non-profit organization, believe that unity, collaboration, and respect, along with the common goals shared across Lowertown business owners and residents, can and will promote positive change.
  • We support the Lowertown Community and charitable activities by partnering with businesses of Lowertown and Downtown as well as community stakeholders.
  • We are an inclusive group: all Lowertown and Downtown business owners as well as residents are  encouraged to express ideas on how to move the Lowertown neighborhood forward.
